Want to take a trip to wine country, but don’t have the time to travel to Napa? No worries! Metro Atlanta has plenty of wineries for you to get your grape on!
City Winery – Started in New York City and with a new store located conveniently at the ever so popular Ponce City Market, City Winery is more than just stomping grapes. It is also a restaurant, private event space and concert hall. Perfect for wine and music enthusiasts alike! Founder Michael Dorf started the concept after spending time making his first barrel of wine in California. His goal is to bring the wine country feel to urban areas. Well, welcome, Michael! We’re sure glad to have you and your bountiful grapes here! http://www.citywinery.com/atlanta/
Chateau Elan Winery – A quick drive up 85 North, you will find Chateau Elan, a place where you can buy a gorgeous home (with the help of The Peters Company) AND enjoy all the reds and whites they have to offer. The winery was opened in the 80’s and offers tours, cooking classes and a membership club. Next to the winery stands Chateau Elan’s resort and spa, equestrian center and multiple golf courses. Truly a great weekend getaway for anyone! http://www.chateauelan.com/menu-winery.html
Montaluce Winery – Dahlonega, GA is popular for its beautiful mountains, gold mining and wineries. Montaluce offers complimentary wine tours along with private and corporate tours. One of the really neat things that Montaluce has to offer is their wine hike. A 1.8 mile guided tour through the vineyards ending with a wine flight on their terrace that overlooks the vineyard. Not everybody is into nature hikes, but if there’s wine at the end…why not? http://www.montaluce.com/winery/
