One of the things that I love the most about The Peters Company, is that giving back and showing thanks is very important to us! Not only do we show our gratitude in November, we do our best to show our thanks and give back all year long. In fact, since I’ve joined The Peters Co, we’ve hosted a bowling event where we raised $1,163 for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue and a Kentucky Derby Party where we raised $1,700 for Chris Kids. We also donate to 100 for the Homeless as team while we celebrate our 100th closing each year. And last November we mailed 350 thank you notes to our friends, families, and past clients!
Want to get involved and give back to the community yourself? Here are a few great options:
- Atlanta Mission – I volunteer at the Atlanta Mission’s women and children shelter. We play with the kiddos and share a quick Bible story on Tuesday nights while the moms are in their programs.
- 100 for the Homeless – They are always in need of volunteers to stay the night. Andy stays once a year and always comments how the men he is supposed to be serving always end up giving him more than they’ll ever know.
- Atlanta Community Food Bank – With the holiday’s right around the corner, the Atlanta Food Bank will be partnering with other great agencies. Together they are gearing up with many different opportunities for collecting gifts, serving food, etc.
