With all of the concerns about Covid-19 and the state of our economy, I thought it would be a great time to offer some suggestions to stay stress free:
The dogwoods and cherry blossoms are blooming – go outside every day and look at the beauty that surrounds you.
If you are selling your home in 2020, think of good landscaping ideas including planting flowers and bushes to enhance your curb appeal.
Take walks and get fresh air – it has amazing effects on your health and mental well being.
Spring cleaning is also a good way to be productive – you probably already do some form of this, although this year, you may have more time to focus on it. Some ideas include:
Clean out closets/drawers – anything you haven’t worn or used in 12 months, consider donating it. There are many charities that will give you a tax write-off for your donations.
Deep clean your kitchen – remove all drawer and cabinet items, scrub the surfaces down and get rid of items you no longer use. (Like the bread maker I haven’t used in 10 years which takes up a lot of space).
And as you organize your pantry, donate any canned and boxed goods you won’t use to a food bank – they’ll find good use for them.
Clean out your garage/basement/attic – if you are anything like me, you have accumulated things over time. A LOT of things. What no longer is a treasure to you will most certainly be a treasure to others.
After you have finished your spring cleaning, you will feel a sense of accomplishment and more organized. When the world outside seems out of control, you can control the world inside.
And when you are ready to sell your house, you will be much more prepared!
Let us know how we can assist you in selling your home, whether it is now or in the future, The Peters Company is here to help.
