Well, we are over the summer hump and are sliding into the South’s 3rd season, Football Season! Football will be here before we know it, so now is the time to plan ahead and figure out where you’ll be cheering on the Dawgs (or Tide, Tigers, or Yellow Jackets). Here are a few long time favorites for football fans in Atlanta:
- The Ivy :: While The Ivy tends to draw a younger crowd, this is a great choice when you want to feel all of the energy of a football game again. Located in a renovated Buckhead mansion, this great spot features American food, several large bars, 28 flat screen TVs, and a 300 inch outdoor screen (what!?). My favorite area is the outdoor space on the second floor.
- Dantanna’s :: Also located in Buckhead, Dantanna’s is a favorite of business men. The beer list here is quite impressive (50+ options!), but the food is the real winner. I’ve never had something I didn’t like here. If the banana foster is a dessert option while you are there, make sure to save room!
- STATS Brewpub :: STATS is THE place to be to watch sports in Atlanta! Located downtown, it not only serves great food, but features it’s own home brewed beers! STATS also has a few tables that have a beer tap system on the table allowing guests to pour their own beer! Don’t miss the 70 TVs or the fantastic view from their outdoor patio!
