As Atlanta’s growth continues to surge, its metro area is projected to be 6th in the nation by the 2040s. This growth brings with it new developments throughout the city, creating many opportunities to explore new neighborhoods and events. Here’s a rundown of new housing developments happening around Atlanta.
The construction group Third and Urban is planning to break ground this month on a multi- use development called “Elway”. The space, which will be located along Moreland Avenue where Ormewood Park meets East Atlanta, will include 7 townhomes, 12 apartments, and 8,300 square feet for retail. It is expected to be completed by the summer of 2018.
Built in 1904, former processing plant Pullman Yard was recently sold to Atomic Entertainment for 8 million dollars. The group plans to convert the space into a creative studio complex that includes affordable housing for people in the movie and film industry. The building will be mixed use and also include space for bars, restaurants, and offices.
As a change of pace from all the new construction, consider visiting the Lake Claire Drum Circle. This group, which has been meeting for 20+ years, meets the first and third Sunday of each month beginning at sundown. This is a free event, but donations are encouraged for the performers.
These are just a few highlights of happenings around the ever-changing city of Atlanta. Whether you are relocating your family or investing for the future, The Peters Company would love to assist with your real estate needs.
