Memorial Day Happenings in Atlanta!
As Memorial Day Weekend is approaching, there are so many events happening in and near Atlanta! We put together a guide of our favorite things happening throughout the weekend! We have included both family friendly events and adults only, so there is something for all!
Brew at the Zoo
Saturday May 28
Cost: $65-$130
Atlanta Zoo
This adult-only, beer festival is not an event you want to miss! Your general ticket will get you admission, a 5oz tasting mug, over 70 selections of beer and wine, live music, live entertainment, and animal feedings. Additionally, the VIP ticket will get you an air-conditioned VIP lounge and premium beer and wine selections.
Memorial Day Classic 5k in Atlanta

Historic Old Fourth Ward
The 3rd annual 5k will be happening on Memorial Day in Atlanta to honor the men and the women who served our country. The final mile of the 5k is the “Red White and Blue Mile”, where attendees can place photos of loved ones who served and lost their lives. If you are athletic and love to run, this would be the perfect event!
Atlanta Jazz Festival
May 27 – May 30
Cost: Free
Piedmont Park
The 45th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival will be taking place during Memorial Day Weekend! It is considered to be one of the top free festivals among the country. There are different Jazz artists lined up for each night, so you can pick which night sounds the most appealing to you!
Stone Mountain Park Fireworks and Lasershow Spectacular
May 27 – May 30
Cost: $20-$50
Stone Mountain Park
Stone Mountain Park is honoring the troops by extending their fireworks show, as well as putting on a lasershow. Both the patriotic fireworks and the lasershow spectacular are choregraphed to music and is entertaining for all ages. The lasershow will begin at 9:30 pm and then fireworks will follow the show. Beside the special fireworks and lasershow, all park attractions will be open, as usual, at 11:30am.
KISS 104.1’s R&B Only Fest
Saturday May 28
Cost: $70-$360 (VIP package option)
Lakewood Amphitheatre
KISS FM is putting on an R&B festival on Saturday starting at 12:30pm and will conclude at 11pm that night. The lineup has some of the most popular R&B artists including Erykah Badu, Miguel, Wale, and many more!
Roswell Remembers
Monday May 30
Cost: Free (unless you buy from food trucks)
Roswell City Hall
Roswell Remembers is the largest Memorial Day Ceremony in the state of Georgia. The grounds will open at 10am and the ceremony will begin at 11am. Following the ceremony, there will be food trucks with a variety of food and live music to celebrate those who served and those who lost their lives in service.
Alpharetta Arts Streetfest
May 28 – May 29
Cost: Free
The Grove at Wills Park
The 15th Annual Alpharetta Arts Streetfest showcases hundreds of artists from around the country. There will be live music, performances, activities for children and an abundance of food. Rain or shine, the event will be a go!
