Are your kids going crazy, running around the house, and complaining about being bored this summer? Are they driving you mad?! Great news! We have compiled a list of our favorite, kid-approved, indoor and outdoor activities to do this summer around Atlanta!
Chattahoochee River Activities – Powers Island
Details: Choose from tubing, kayaking, paddle boarding and rafting; rentals available for the day
Age Requirements: River raft and inflatable kayak: 5+ years, Tubing: 8+ years, Paddleboard: 11+ years
Where: Sandy Springs
Hours: 10am-2pm Saturday and Sunday
Cost: $3 parking, rentals ranging from $30-140
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands
Details: Considered to be one of the best water parks in the area, Margaritaville is the perfect summer spot for the whole family! The park features mini water slides, a wave pool, rapid river, racing waterslides, zip lining, beaches, a golf course, boat rental, an assortment of restaurants and so much more!
Where: Buford, Lake Lanier
Hours: 11am-7pm Monday-Sunday
Tickets: Adult (8+): $55, Child (3-7): $40
Georgia Aquarium
Details: Considered one of the best aquariums in the country, Georgia Aquarium features hundreds of species! The aquarium holds more than 11 million gallons of water, all filled with unique animals.
Where: Atlanta
Hours: 9am-9pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-9pm Friday-Sunday
Tickets: $39.99 for general admission and option for add ons (tours, cage dives, dolphin show and more)
Zoo Atlanta
Details: The Atlanta Zoo is one of only three zoos in the country to house giant pandas! It also has one of the largest orangutan exhibits, plus has the largest gorilla population of any zoo! Zoo Atlanta is not a place to miss.

Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Sunday
Tickets: Adults (12+): $24-32, Child (3-11): $18-24, option for add-ons (rides, treetop trail and more)
