South Forsyth’s newest development, set to open this Spring, is described as “a mix of Krog Street Market, Ponce City Market and Avalon”! Halcyon is located just off of exit 12, at the intersection of McFarland and Ronald Reagan. The mixed use project will cover 135 acres and will include homes, restaurants, hotels, a movie theater, and a connection to the Big Creek Greenway. That’s nearly DOUBLE the size of Avalon! While Avalon features mostly retail stores, Halcyon’s developers are focusing on restaurants. The concept is to bring all worlds together by offering a variety of options and bringing an urban touch to North Atlanta. This will be an exciting addition to life in the suburbs! If you would like to keep up with the progress, you can follow @halcyonforsyth on Facebook. Or, if you would like to check out the site for yourself, you can always drive past!
At Halcyon, expect to find:
- Two hotels
- Single Family Homes for Sale
- Townhomes for Sale
- 38,000-sq. ft. Movie Theater
- Over 500,000-square feet of office and retail space
- Restaurants to Include:
Medici: This will be the restaurant’s second Georgia location, with the first being at Midtown’s 999 Peachtree. The restaurant serves Neapolitan pizzas baked in ovens imported from Italy.
