Doing the Most #Atlanta Activities

At The Peters Company, we have a lot of clients moving to our great city from other great cities and states (and countries, too)! Oftentimes, when buyers are coming into town for their house-hunting-days, they ask me what they should do to get a feel for Atlanta. Here is what I tell them…

World of Coca-Cola: Coke, affectionately known in my household as “Georgia champagne”. The World of Coca-Cola is one of my favorite Atlanta attractions. There’s such rich history behind the iconic beverage and those that created the museum did a great job capturing the essence of Coke and the city of Atlanta. Of course, the best part of the whole place is the section with the different products offered in countries and continents across the world!

College Football Hall of Fame: Being a University of Alabama alum and growing up in the south, it’s no surprise that I’m passionate about college football. Throw on your favorite team’s jersey and head to the CFHOF to show your football pride. You can take to the indoor field and practice your field goals, go into a booth with a script and call some of the sport’s most memorable plays, and sit at a make-shift College Gameday desk and do your best impression of Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit.

Skyline Park/Ponce City Market: What a TREAT the development of Ponce City Market has been for Atlanta. Besides the delicious restaurants and trendy shops, PCM has a whole other world on the ROOFTOP! I mean, who doesn’t love a rooftop?! It’s not just any old rooftop. There’s an entire amusement park up there. Mini golf, arcade games, bars, slides, the list goes one. We’re so fortunate to have a long season of beautiful evenings to enjoy the outdoors, which makes this place even more special. And the views of the city will make you speechless.

The Beltline: If you’re at Ponce City Market, you can just hop on the Beltline and make your way through some of ATL’s most celebrated neighborhoods. One stop along the trail that is a must is Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall. They have a fabulous cheeseburger and an outdoor space that Atlantans love to flock to. One of the biggest positives about Ladybird is the face that they’re dog-friendly. They actually give dogs a bowl of water before they give anything to anybody at the table. Who doesn’t love a business that takes care of our furry friends like that? Continuing down the trail from Ladybird you’ll hit Krog Street Market located in Inman Park. More shops and restaurants! The trail continues throughout the city and is one project that we’re all really proud to have.

Any Atlanta sporting event: Ok, I know, our luck with Atlanta sports isn’t always the best. But I can say that we take a lot of pride in our teams (specifically, the Atlanta United soccer team, because they’re the only one who has won a championship in, like, a really long time). We have new state-of-the-art facilities for the Falcons (Mercedes-Benz Stadium) and the Braves (SunTrust Park) and they’re beautiful! They also both have great drinks and snacks. We like to eat and drink around here, obviously.

There are MANY other places and events that we have to offer, but these are just some of my favorite. I’m so proud to call Atlanta home and I want clients to feel the same way when they’re making their move. TPC is always here for recommendations, whether they’re for fun, for housing needs, vendors, etc. We’ve got you covered!
