Are you ready to downsize? Tired of cutting and maintaining your grass? If you are looking to make a lifestyle change and worry less about the maintenance of your large home, an active adult community (usually age 55+) may be a great option for you.
Sprinkled around the state of Georgia you can find a variety of price ranges and locations for communities like this. Some buyers move into these communities for the social aspect while others want to simplify their life and be able to lock up the house and travel for weeks at a time!
My Grandparents just moved here from Bend, Oregon. They lived on 20 acres. At first they were hesitant moving into a community with an HOA and a smaller lot. After moving into Village at Deaton Creek in Hoschton, GA, they quickly fell in love with the community and their new home. The idea of someone cutting their grass, amazing amenities and great social gatherings was something they never thought they would enjoy. They are very happy with their decision and will travel back to Oregon this summer for a few months and not have to worry about their home here in Georgia.
